Sik bo – an ordinary dice roll or a chance in a million?
“Sik Bo”, and in our language just “A Couple of Dice”, – this game has won many hearts of online casino players, distinguished by its rather simple rules, as well as the ability to make several bets at the same time, which has always been a priority for “seasoned casino players”.
The goal of the game
The player bets on the expected outcome of the dice that fall out, and if it turns out to be correct, victory follows, hence the goal of the game: to guess the combination that can fall out after the dice roll.
The game is very popular in the East, but Western players also appreciated it. There is an opinion that everyone who loves to play dice should try Sik Bo, the only difficulty is the variety of bets, which scares off beginners. But in fact, there is nothing complicated, the main thing is to figure it out. Also, this problem is easily solved by playing in test mode, which is offered by many reputable casinos. Before playing for real money, you can develop your own game tactics, understand whether the game suits you or not, as well as gain experience.
Three cubes with dots marked on them are used for the game: 1-6. There are a lot of combinations here, and therefore there are a lot of betting cells similar to roulette. The player makes one or several bets, and then waits for the result of the throw: a loss, a partial win, or an absolute victory – again, it all depends on the number of bets and the combination that fell out.
Types of bets
- Big or small. The player wins if he guesses what will turn out to be “Big” or “Small”. “Big” is the numbers from 11 to 18, while ”Small“ varies from 4 to 10. If the same numbers appear on the dice, then the bet also loses. Payment is paid: 1 to 1;
- Bet on the number. Here you need to guess which number will fall on the dice. For example, if you decide to place a bet from 1 to 6, you need to put a chip in a certain field. If one digit matches: the payout is 1 to 1, two – 1 to 2, three – 3 to 1;
- Put it on steam. A bet on 15 expected events that have the possibility of falling on two dice. Paid 5 to 1;
- General. A bet on the sum of the numbers that will fall on all the dice, and the numbers 3 and 18 are not taken into account;
- Double. A bet on the loss of paired numbers, which is paid 10 to 1. It’s also a pretty popular option;
- Triple. The loss of certain identical numbers on all three dice. The rate is paid very generously 180 to 1, but the risk is considerable. There is also a bet “On any triple”, which is won if any three identical numbers fall out, while not selected by the player.
Sik Bo, although a little popular game among Western players, is quite interesting, fascinating and has a great advantage of winning. As already mentioned: fans of such games should try this entertainment, which can bring a good income, as well as a lot of excitement.
Some may be afraid of the huge interface of the game: of course, it looks very impressive, but in fact everything turns out to be quite simple. Clear images + Russian language make the development of the game both fast and simple, which gives another plus to the game of Sik Bo online.
Having gained experience, by playing the trial version of the game, as well as choosing the optimal and reliable strategy for the game, you can reduce the advantage of the online casino to almost a gaming minimum. Although many people say that this game is “Purely for luck, and there are no strategies for it” – this is not true, or at least this is what beginners say, or those who have not figured out the game. In order to win, you need to try very hard !!!

Game strategies
Calculations in the game Sic Bo and other dice games are even somehow embarrassing to call mathematics. It would be more accurate to call them arithmetic, because they are very simple. Nevertheless, our life experience shows that many people who play dice games (for example, backgammon) often have a very superficial (and sometimes incorrect) idea of the probabilities of various combinations falling out. Meanwhile, an accurate representation of this side of the matter is the basis of the player’s class in any of the dice games.
Having thoroughly understood this issue (and it will take you no more than 15 minutes), you will be able to always make the right decision in the future – regardless of which dice game you play: Sic Bo, Dice, Craps, Seven Eleven, Backgammon, Bayburt or any other of the hundreds or even probably thousands of dice games invented by mankind over 50 centuries.
Single Dice roll
So, one dice (which is a cube of the correct shape, all faces of which are equal), can equally likely fall out of any of its six faces. What happens if we bet that it will be one? In order for the game to be equal, the opponent must “answer” five times, i.e. pay $1 for our bet if we win $5, because he has exactly 5 times more chances that one will not fall out. If we roll the dice 6 times and all six different faces fall out, then we will win 1 time ($5) and lose 5 times ($1 each), remaining with our own as a result.
Two dice roll
Now let’s see what happens if we roll 2 dice at once. For each of the 6 faces of the first cube there are 6 faces of the second. The number of possible combinations of faces is 36 (62). All of them are presented in the plate in Figure 1. Let’s imagine that we are betting again that a certain combination will fall out, for example 6-6. What should be the payout for 6-6 in order for the game to be equal? The same order of reasoning: the only one of the 36 possible combinations (6-6) is opposed by 35 others, if they fall out, we will lose. Accordingly, the payout should be 35:1.
