March Update: Party, Friends & Twitch Streaming !

I’m so glad to see that the XBOX ONE team is waking up ! Adding features that people want now and not later ! They are not telling us we need to wait because the system is new, they are just fixing & updating now ! XBOX ONE  team don’t get to cozy, because PS4 has 2 million more unit’s sold over the XBOX ONE so far. Keep it going !

Major Nelson talks with Xbox’s Richard Irving for an exclusive first look at the changes to the Party and Friends features in the upcoming March update for Xbox One.

Here is all the info about Twitch Streaming from Xbox Wire :

Twitch lets you instantly broadcast and watch your favorite games. It’s all live, all the time. Coming to your Xbox One on March 11th, 2014.

Twitch on Xbox One

Thanks to Kinect, Xbox One owners that have completed a one-time setup of their Twitch account can begin live streaming their game of choice simply by saying “Xbox, Broadcast” at any point during their time playing it. Kinect also allows you to easily include your picture-in-picture video feed and audio commentary along with the game broadcast, making it the perfect way to connect with your friends and followers. Xbox One’s Twitch app is a great way to meet new friends, too, as you’ll be able to view the gamer card of anyone streaming from Xbox One and begin following them.

Your Twitch activity will appear right in the friends app and activity feed of your followers, giving everyone a real-time update on what you’re broadcasting or watching. You can even set up notifications for a heads-up when one of your favorites begins broadcasting. During the broadcast, broadcasters and viewers will be able to interact (viewers can post comments in the chat stream, while the broadcaster verbally responds or assigns a moderator to keep chat running smoothly while they’re busy playing). Xbox One is the only next-gen console offering a complete Twitch chat experience, offering 10 lines in the chat stream and allowing viewers to choose their name color and post emoticons. As an added bonus, broadcasters can invite friends into a private party from the chat stream, allowing them to voice chat outside of the broadcast.

In addition to the ability to use Kinect’s voice commands to begin (and finish!) broadcasting, a number of other special features make the Twitch experience on Xbox One a unique one. You’ll have access to the all of the live broadcasts, as well as exclusive content. Unlike other Twitch console experiences, you can also broadcast a full-screen view of the game you’re playing or use an on-screen viewer indicator to keep an eye on how popular your live broadcast is. You can even earn Media Achievements just by spectating as you normally would or, we hope, by checking out any of the Xbox One games you haven’t seen before.

The best part of the first truly next-gen Twitch experience coming to Xbox One is that it will be here in time for the release of “Titanfall” on March 11. It’s fitting that the first truly next-gen multiplayer game will be making a Titan-sized splash on the first truly next-gen Twitch experience.

The best broadcasting and spectating experience on any game console is on its way when the new Twitch app launches on Xbox One on March 11. Twitch, the world’s largest video platform and community for gamers with 45 million visitors per month, and Xbox One, the only all-in-one games and entertainment system, are joining forces to bring the broadcasting and spectating experience into the new generation. Both Twitch and Xbox One are seeing blazing growth, with Twitch’s traffic skyrocketing, as the #4 peak US internet traffic destination and Xbox One off to the fastest launch in Xbox history. On the heels of the acclaimed “Titanfall” beta, which peaked at No. 1 on Twitch across all platforms with more than 65,000 concurrent views on Feb. 13, it’s time to give the world its first taste of the next-generation multiplayer action. On March 11 when “Titanfall” launches, Twitch and Xbox One come together for the first truly next-gen Twitch experience, one that can’t be matched by any other console.

Only with Twitch on Xbox One can you broadcast and watch your favorite games live by simply saying “Xbox, Broadcast.” Once you’re done broadcasting, you can use Twitch to watch the games you love, chat with the players you follow, or even join a broadcaster’s game. Xbox One is the only next-gen console that allows you to archive your Twitch broadcasts and view live Twitch streams regardless of their original source.

“Only Xbox One offers the most complete Twitch experience, with access to any live broadcast and the full Twitch catalog,” said Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate VP of Marketing, Xbox. “We’ve designed Xbox One to be the best place to play with features and unparalleled partnerships that deliver epic moments for gamers.”

“Over the last two years, we have seen the broadcasting and spectating of video games go from a niche activity to a pastime shared by millions,” said Emmett Shear, CEO and Founder, Twitch. “As the experience grows in popularity, it’s important to provide as broad a feature set as possible for the community. Microsoft has done just that by rolling out the most robust console integration of Twitch to date and setting a new bar for others to strive for.”

Xbox One – Updates Coming !

I’m excited to be able to share details with you today about several product updates we’ll be delivering for Xbox One starting next week.  The team has been really excited to see the gameplay on Xbox One and the millions of hours of fun our fans have experienced since launch. We’ve also been busy listening to your feedback and working hard to incorporate it into Xbox One as soon as possible. We remain incredibly energized and we are aggressively working to make Xbox One better, faster than ever before.

Xbox One is a platform for continuous innovation and new consumer experiences over time.  Just as we did with Xbox 360, Xbox One will have regular updates to deliver new features and platform experiences designed to delight you.  We’re always listening to you and we love your feedback, so keep it coming.

February 11 system updates

On
February 11, the first update will be delivered to customers who sign into their Xbox One.  It features many new improvements – including lots of behind-the-scenes updates for developers building apps and games for Xbox One, several new features we believe Xbox fans will love, stability and product updates to improve the customer experience, and continuous improvements to the quality of Kinect voice so commands become more fluid and responsive over time.  While we won’t be going into all of the details of the product updates today, we will be sharing more information soon.

Some of the features you can expect to see on February 11 include:

  • The ability to see and manage your storage space. With this update, you will find it easy to find how much space your content takes up and better manage your content. You can also control your install lineup and more easily manage your download queue. We’ve separated My Games and My Apps into separate lists, so you can easily create separate queues for both. Now you can pick the order in which you want your content to load and we’ve added a boot progress indicator so you can better track updates while they load.
  • The battery power indicator is back! You can see it right on the home screen, so you can easily track how much battery life is left on your controller.
  • And, you will be able to use your USB keyboard with your Xbox One.

These are just a few of the many updates we will be shipping on February 11. We’ll share more details on these and other upcoming features in the coming weeks. We have several surprises in store that we think you’ll love.

March 4 system updates – countdown to “Titanfall”

On March 4, in advance of what is expected to be the biggest game launch of the year, we will be delivering another system update to prepare your Xbox One for “Titanfall.”  This update will contain  many new features and improvements, most significantly to our party and multiplayer systems.  Available on March 11, “Titanfall” is a team-based online multiplayer game that showcases the power of Xbox Live, and we will be shipping a new party and multiplayer system that will help make “Titanfall” the must-have game for this generation.

This post is the first of many announcements and sneak peeks at features in the system updates. We’ve been carefully listening to your feedback and look forward to delivering many new features that will make Xbox One even better. We’re just getting started and can’t wait to share more information in the coming weeks

I would like to say Microsoft has lost their minds and are a very unfriendly consumer company now ! Why you ask ? I will tell you why !

1) I chatted live with Xbox Live account support team today about my Xbox Live Family Gold Plan that is no more now. I asked them why did you charge me $99 then ? They told me this would be the last time and we are giving you three month’s free. I was like cool ! Here is where the very bad part starts, when it ends all your accounts on Xbox Live Family Gold turn into single Gold accounts. If you have four accounts on your Xbox Live Family Gold account, I was told each account will be bill $59.99 !!! I was like WTF !!! That equals $239.96 !!!!! They should drop dead thinking they can charge that !!! I canceled auto renew .

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us
PlayStation Plus is $49.99 a year, every one in your house hold can piggy back that account . They all can have a PSN gamer name. What makes PlayStation Plus a greater deal is if you had pre-order bonus’s and DLC every one under the main account gets everything you own too !  HALLELUJAH !!!

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us
2) RYSE: Son of Rome you pay $59.99 for the game . Microsoft has the balls to have micro-transactions for the CO-OP part of the game ! That would be OK if it was a Free to Play game, but you have to buy the game ! Then they want to give you the shaft for being loyal to them ! I say F$%K YOU !

3) XBOX ONE UI/OS runs so bad it is laughable . Micheal Jackson should come back from his grave to JUST BEAT IT ! Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I could go on, but I know you all get my point ! Save your money and wait before you move to next gen with Micro-shaft. See if they will start giving back and not taking so much to own a XBOX ONE.

Need for Speed: Rivals Review (Xbox 360) – XboxAddict.com

Wednesday, December 4, 2013.
by Khari Taylor

Need for Speed: Rivals Box art Need for Speed: Rivals is the latest in a line of EA titles that is available for both next-generation consoles (Xbox One and PS4) as well as current gen-platforms (Xbox 360 and PS3), which puts this game and its intended market in a curious position. As an Xbox One title, Rivals offers an immediate, open-world arcade-thrill alternative to the hardcore simulation experience that is Forza Motorsport 5, and seems like an easy choice for racing fans to make, given the limited launch lineup currently available on Xbox One. On Xbox 360 however, fans of arcade racing shenanigans have many more recent options to choose from to get their thrills, from Turn 10’s Forza Horizon to EA’s own Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and Need for Speed: Most Wanted; the latter two games in particular sharing not only many of the same development team members but also several of the same themes, gameplay mechanics and concepts. So assuming that it’s all been done before, should players bother taking Rivals for a test drive on current-gen?

Like 2010’s Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed: Rivals revisits the cat-and-mouse, Cop versus Racer dynamic that has become synonymous with the Hot Pursuit moniker. While the setting has moved from the fictional American northwest county of Seacrest to the equally scenic (and imaginary) Redview County, the deadly rivalry between the thrill-seekers and the law remains the same. Players can choose to play as either a street racer or a highway patrol cop and can switch between careers at any time from one of their chosen faction’s garages, which also serve as car customization hubs, fast travel waypoints and mission control centers. Regardless of which side they play on, players will ultimately need to purchase new vehicles, Pursuit Tech weaponry and performance upgrades with Speed Points (SP) in order to progress, and just as one would come to expect, this in-game currency is earned by completing missions, performing dangerous stunts and traffic maneuvers, damaging or wrecking other cars, and meeting certain criteria in multiplayer situations. As players complete objectives they will move up in rank, unlocking faster vehicles and more powerful Pursuit Tech. There’s a specific storyline for each faction as well, in which a self-important, off-screen narrator tries to justify with increasing rhetoric the reckless driving and blatant disregard for human life each side displays in their war to shut down the other party. Both yarns are ludicrous, paper-thin and highly implausible, but they are still entertaining and effective in establishing just how different the Cops and Racers are from one another.

Forza Motorsport 5 Review (Xbox One) – XboxAddict.com

Wednesday, November 27, 2013.
by Brent Roberts

Forza Motorsport 5 Box art Throughout the history of mankind there have only been a few select moments that have altered its future and the birth of automotive transportation is one such moment. Freedom was just a turn of the key away, and only our imaginations became our limitations. The sensation of the road beneath your tires with a ribbon of black asphalt stretched out before your eyes is a feeling unlike any other, and in Forza 5 we find the greatest tribute to one of the great liberators in the history of mankind, the car. Turn 10 has been producing Forza Motorsport games since the years of the original Xbox, and with every release their goal is to pay homage by delivering the best driving experience you can find anywhere in the digital age; and they have succeeded in a way that is so significant that to accurately measure it would require you to almost compare it to other great monumental achievements in mankind. If ever there was a bar to rise, Turn 10 strapped it to the back of a Bugatti Veyron and sent it 250 miles an hour, straight into orbit while on fire. Chill the blood in your veins and start your engines because it’s time to launch into the best driving game ever available on any console, Forza 5.

Starting out Forza 5 will treat you to an opening sequence by Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson, and after that the game takes you straight into racing behind the wheel of a McLaren P1. This is Forza’s way of introducing you to the world of motorsport and the physics that coincide with its existence. You will then be able to choose a car for the upcoming league event you will be participating in. After that you are off on your way through your first series of events that will help familiarize yourself with the courses, the physics of driving itself, and such features like replay and more. Before the races begin you have the option to select different driver assists and decide if you want them on or off, also you have the ability to choose your difficulty of competition. The other racers you will find in Forza are not computer AI controlled vehicles, but actual human drivers via their Drivatar.

RYSE: Son of Rome Review (Xbox One) – XboxAddict.com

I will have links to XBOX ONE game reviews from my friends at XBOXADDICT.com .

Tuesday, December 3, 2013.
by Stephen Cameron

RYSE: Son of Rome Box art When we were shown this title at E3 2013, we honestly thought to ourselves…”What a weak title to launch a console with! NEXT!” — Hell, we even wrote a letter to a Microsoft executive telling him the same thing. Well my friends, there comes a time in every man’s life when he must admit he was wrong. We were wrong about Ryse. We’re positive that most of you thought the exact same thing as we did because the E3 showing of this game was terrible. Turns out they needed to show us more gameplay and less cinematics. Who knew it was simple as that.

Ryse: Son of Rome is probably one of the strongest launch titles for the Xbox One. One, it’s the only first party AAA title that is a unique and untested franchise. Basically a huge gamble for Microsoft. This was a bold move for them, especially with a brand new console. With the folks at Crytek being right there holding their game designing hand every step of the way, it was sink or swim. It also doesn’t hurt that they have an amazing graphics engine either. They’ve really bet on a good horse here. Sort of.

The best way to describe this game is that it’s a mix of Prince of Persia and Batman’s hand to hand combat system, mixed in with a bit of the linear and gameplay feel of Gears of War. All set within a beautiful Roman era historical wrapper. Generally speaking, linear games are not a new phenomenon. But, games like Gears and Splinter Cell are perfect examples of linear single player campaigns titles that work. Basically if you’ve watched Spartacus Blood and Sand series you’ll love Ryse.

If you have to make a choice on which new gaming system to buy for Christmas BUY a PlayStation 4 $100 cheaper and it is ready to PLAY GAMES out of the box.

XBOX ONE FOR 2013,DO NOT BUY IT ! Wait for March when Titanfall comes out first.

XBOX ONE dashboard is bullshit carp, unfinished beta UI . Getting any where on that system to play games will be a part time job for the average Joe ! Kinect voice commands are piss poor to use. After playing a PlayStation 4 , Xbox One‘s whole make up is very poor and over barring to some one who just wants to be a NEXT gen gamer. Microsoft has their head’s up their asses so they can see shit clearly and nothing about the NEXT gen gamer.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

In the end I feel like Microsoft is just trying to shaft people and nickle and dime them to death. XBOX LIVE GOLD is laughable when it is compared to PlayStation Plus. When I logged on my PlayStation 4, I was able to get two brand new PlayStation 4 games for free Contrast & RESOGUN ! XBOX fanboy’s don’t tell me you only get to keep them if you have PlayStation Plus, because you have to have PlayStation Plus for the PlayStation 4 to play online just like XBOX GOLD. Don’t forget all the PlayStation 3 & PS Vita games you get for free monthly too .
