THE BLACK MARKET – A Titanfall Update !

The Black Market

The Frontier may be rich in resources, but it’s also rich with conflict. As a Pilot, you want to be prepared for anything, and sometimes, standard issue just isn’t enough to get the job done. Sometimes, you need to look elsewhere for an edge. Welcome to the seedy underbelly of the Frontier, Pilot – The Black Market.

The Black Market collects and sells the Frontier’s most sordid items like packs of random Burn Cards and Titan Insignias. Don’t ask where we got them. You don’t want to know.

Titan Insignias

The Black Market introduces a set of Titan Insignias that are themed as the official insignias of elite units on both the IMC and Militia. Once you unlock them in the Black Market, they will be available with the rest of your Titan Insignias in the Titan Custom Loadout screens.

Burn Cards

Burn Card Packs contain a random Burn Cards each focused on a specific theme. They let you choose the type of Burn Cards you like to use. Need an XP boost? Buy the Time Boost Pack. Just need a few cards for the next match? Grab a Standard Pack which can contain any card in the game.

The primary goal of Burn Card packs is to give you more choice in the kinds of Burn Cards you get and to fit different play styles. The Cards you get are random, but you get a set of Cards you know you will enjoy using. Do you like using Ordnance more than Tactical Abilities? Sell the Ability Cards for Credits and buy an Ordnance Pack! Speaking of Credits…

The Black Market’s arrival also introduces a new currency to Titanfall called Credits. Credits are used to buy items in the Black Market like Burn Card Packs and Titan Insignias.

Players are awarded credits for the following:

• Match Victory
• Match Completion
• First Victory of the Day
• Completing Daily Challenges
• Selling Burn Cards
• At level 50, a percentage of the XP you earn will be converted into Credits

These events reward you for playing the game mode objective, finishing matches, and coming back to play every day. Also, discarding unwanted Burn Cards now sells them for Credits.

Misc Details

• The Black Market is available at level 11 and once you’ve opened the Burn Card menu.
• The Black Market is still available after you regenerate, just like Burn Cards.
• If you are at level 50, you will earn a percentage of Credits for the XP you earn every match

Future Updates
We are looking into adding more item types for the Black Market in future updates, but can’t say exactly what they are at this time.

One More Thing
With the introduction of an in-game currency, some may worry that the next step is that we will let players spend real-world money to get an edge in the game. We have stated several times that Titanfall will not have micro-transactions. Fear not, for we plan to keep that promise – NO MICROTRANSACTIONS! The only way to get Credits is by playing the game!

First look at Titanfall: Expedition map War Games

Titanfall uses FairFight to detect cheaters on PC. Since the launch of Titanfall, we’ve been collecting data on people who are cheating on PC but not immediately enforcing bans. As of Friday, March 21st, that has changed and we have started banning cheaters in Titanfall.

We will be continuing to tweak the algorithm over time to catch more cheaters.

Q.) How do I know if I’m banned?
A.) Here’s what you’d see at the Private Lobby screen:

If you don’t see that, then you aren’t banned.

Q.) So what happens if I get banned?
A.) Great news: you get to keep playing Titanfall! Less-great news: you only get to play with other cheaters. You can play with other banned players in something that will resemble the Wimbledon of aimbot contests. Hopefully the aimbot cheat you paid for really is the best, or these all-cheater matches could be frustrating for you. Good luck.

Q.) If I’m banned, what happens if I make a party with my non-cheater friends?
A.) When anyone in your party is banned, then everyone in your party will be treated as banned for that play session. If you are a non-cheater and you invite a cheater friend into a party, you will be stuck playing against cheaters. If you stop inviting your cheater friend, you will once again get to play with the non-cheater population. You do not get permanently tainted just by playing with a cheater – you are only banned for cheating if you are actually cheating.

Q.) How do I get unbanned?
A.) You can contact if you think you’ve been banned unfairly.

Titanfall intro sequence !

Opening movie for Respawn/EA’s new Xbox One game, Titanfall.

This cinematic sequence details humankind’s escape to the stars, using footage of space travel, before utilising Spov’s CG and animation skills to visualise Titanfall’s game world – one where ships and people have travelled to the farthest reaches of the universe.

Influenced by footage from NASA’s Cassini mission to Saturn, and particularly an edit by Chris Abbas , the sequence blends the stark and minimal realism of space with the preparation of the massive Titan mechs for their planet fall.

Titanfall’s narrative exists in our universe at an indeterminate point in our future. Using a mix of archive materials, CG and VFX Spov have woven together the human and science-fiction elements to create a holistic storytelling piece.
