Fight for exclusive import rights at Los Santos International in one of the new Capture mode Jobs in Grand Theft Auto Online.

We are happy to announce that Capture – the newest addition to the collection of team-based modes in Grand Theft Auto Online, will be available today as part of the latest free automatic update on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. With 20 new Jobs across four unique modes, this GTA twist on classic capture the flag style confrontations brings a whole new level of adversarial action to the world of Los Santos and Blaine County. Strategy plays a huge role as you run decoys, set traps and place obstacles to ensure your enemies don’t get close to your goods. These new Jobs are accessible in Freemode and spread across the four different modes described below. Read on for more details and previews of a few of our faves:

RAID
In Raid, you’ll have to fight your way into your opponents’ base and steal a package, then deliver it back to your base to score points. Reach the target score, or deliver more packages than your opponents do in the allotted time to win the match.

HOLD
When playing Hold, teams must collect and store as many packages as possible in their base. Packages can either be found on the map, or stolen from the opposing team’s bases. Reach the target score, or hold the most packages when the time runs out, to win.

Compete to get buses back to your base in ‘All Abhorred’.
GTA
As the ubiquitous acronym might suggest, GTA mode tasks players with stealing target vehicles located all around the map, before bringing them back to their respective bases. Each team must fight to steal more vehicles in the allotted time than their opponents.

CONTEND
In Contend, there’s only one package, situated in the middle of the map. Teams must fight to bring this package back to their respective bases, and once the package is captured it respawns in the middle of the map and is up for grabs again.

The contested package at the heart of a firefight.
Capture will be available as part of today’s automatic update for GTA Online, which also includes a host of fixes and dynamic tuning updates. For details on those please check out the Rockstar Support page.

GTA Online Update: Free Deathmatch & Race Creators this Week, Capture Mode and More on the Way | Rockstar Games

With this week’s Race Creator tool, Craft your most challenging and intense GTA Online Races – in the streets, skies and waterways of Los Santos & Blaine County. Then share with the community to see who can best your bespoke Race.

Get ready for lots of new content updates for Grand Theft Auto Online, beginning with the launch of the free Deathmatch and Race Creators tool coming this week. Here’s a look at what’s on the way in the weeks ahead…

Deathmatch & Race Creators Beta
This week, we will give you the first chance to build your own content in GTA Online (and play content others have made) with the release of the Deathmatch & Race Creators Beta. With access to some of the same tools as our own game design and development team, you can craft your own custom blood-soaked gunfights, high-octane street races, screaming jet dogfights and more. You’ll also be able to publish your original Deathmatches and Races via the Rockstar Games Social Club for the whole community to discover, download, play, rate and share. Players can create and customize Jobs for the following modes:
  • Deathmatch
  • Team Deathmatch
  • Race
  • GTA Race
  • Rally Race

Lift the goods from your rivals, then make a clean break for your home base in the all new free Capture mode and Jobs update coming this month to GTA Online.

We’re planning on regularly reviewing some of the best community-created content to recognize and distinguish them as Rockstar Verified Jobs, shared out to the entire GTA Online community. The Deathmatch and Race Creators will come to you via a free update, and you’ll need to have a Social Club account that is linked to your Xbox Live Gamertag or PlayStation Network ID to use them. The Creators are in Beta so please help us iron out any flaws and bugs via the GTA Online email address.
We expect the Creators Beta to become available as soon as tomorrow, December 10th. Look for an official release announcement here at the Newswire.

The hunter and the hunted – the entire open world is your battleground as you war against enemy teams for coveted contraband in Capture mode.

Capture
Also in December, we will introduce possibly our favorite competitive team mode, Capture. A proper GTA twist on classic capture the flag, Capture mode brings territory infiltration and a new form of team-versus-team treachery into GTA Online. Up to four squads battle to steal contraband, trucks, buses or whatever from opponents’ bases using high-speed vehicles, explosive weaponry and cunning teamwork. Craft, cooperation and team tactics are key. The free Capture update will bring a host of new jobs to GTA Online, accessible via the open world and also directly through your phone.  Capture is broken down into four variations – ‘Raid’, ‘Contend’, ‘Hold’ and ‘GTA’ – we will give you full details on each of these next week.
Coming in 2014
Expect big things in both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V next year including:
GTA Online Heists. We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of co-operative Heists. Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more detail in the New Year.
GTAV Story Mode Updates. For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor’s action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.

Killzone: Shadow Fall (PS4) – PlayerVoice update: response to the top 15 feedback items !

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

In last week’s Q&A with the devs we talked about some of the feedback we have received and are currently working on.  To clarify what exactly we are doing with your feedback, here’s a list of the top 15 issues that the community has raised and their status.

Note that as the feedback below has become part of the development cycle, we will be closing these topics on PlayerVoice, so everyone gets their votes back for the next round of feedback.

You can create new ideas and vote on feedback for submission at http://feedback.killzone.com. We will update you about the top issues voted upon on a regular basis, and make them part of the development focus. This is an important step – you have the ability to vote and shape the game as you want.

We’d like to thank you for your suggestions and votes and will keep you posted on future updates!

In game voice chat [in development]

In game voice chat is currently in development. While the game was setup to allow users to speak with the parties they created and people they trust, you have indicated this does make teamwork among strangers more difficult. As team based gameplay is our main focus, we are currently working on this feature as a top priority. We are targeting the December update to have this functionality. It will automatically enable you to talk to your faction and will allow you to mute players (to retain that classic Killzone Shadow Fall feel :smileywink:).

Killzone 2 style proximity chat [not at the moment]

We feel that the in game voice chat and Multiplayer battle chatter (both in development) are the first set of in game voice improvements we want. We should revisit this feature if the community still wants it after they have been listening to the new voice enhancements.

Ranking system [in design]

Instead of an XP system, we currently add skill-based ranks based on the challenges you have completed. As the community has indicated it really would like to see a ranking system that also would show their progress as a player, we are currently designing a ranking system that celebrates this challenge progress and assigns players with rank names and accompanying icons.

Clan system [in design]

We are in the process of designing the clan system and it will be deployed in phases. It will be better suited for Shadow Fall’s team oriented, objectives based gameplay. We expect the first deployment to be early 2014.

Player scorecard split into teams [under consideration]

We are actively looking into ways to put this information in the most logical way possible for Shadow Fall’s gameplay. No final decision on an implementation has been made yet.

Customized Multiplayer Announcements [not yet, but…]

Adding customized multiplayer announcements is certainly an option, but we don’t want the game to get too noisy and distracting. As we will soon be releasing a new feature that lets you customize your Multiplayer battle chatter (“reviving”, “shield activated…” etc.), we will review this feature again after that customization of MP chatter is in the game, which is targeted to be part of the December update.

Hip firing [under investigation]

We are considering this and are currently gathering and studying our gameplay data on hip firing accuracy and whether it is working/not working as intended. We need to be very careful about tweaking the accuracy, as this could inadvertently unbalance the game in another direction. No final decision has been made yet.

Overpowered drones [under investigation]

Again, we are looking into the gameplay data for Air Support drones and turrets. No final decision yet.

In game party system [under consideration]

We rely on the PSN party system which works across all games. We are considering creating our own party-system to accommodate more ad hoc squad based play.

Sniper friendly map [coming soon]

As part of our free DLC, one of the first few maps being prepped for release has some long engagement distances that might help snipers suppress enemies and support their team. Of course, it is designed to have alternate routes that can help Supports and Assaults break the flank as well. Stay tuned for more news on our next map drop.

Ammo supply boxes showing up on the mini map [coming soon]

We’re not planning to have fixed ammo locations in the map, as the support class can place them anywhere in the map. However, we are working on ways to make these locations much more obvious on the radar.

Official Classic 24 player warzone [currently live]

We’ve created the warzone and it is live.

Display K/D ratio for everyone [not at the moment]

We do not think worrying about your deaths is the way to play Shadow Fall, and a lot of the community members actually enjoy our renewed focus on objectives and team based gameplay. That being said, all players have the ability to create Warzones with Kills and Deaths as Primary and Secondary sorting on the leaderboards.

Co-op mode to have playable Helghast [not at the moment]

Our team is currently working on the design of the co-op mode, and fine tuning the gameplay. Stay tuned for news on playable characters – we can’t confirm which characters you will play with at this time, but we can confirm you will not be playing as a Helghast.

Being able to identify my party members [in design]

We are designing ways for you to identify your team members and party members. One of the things we have done is print names of party members in blue on the scoreboard and in game. We’ll keep a close eye on this to see if this adds more clarity to players.

I would like to say Microsoft has lost their minds and are a very unfriendly consumer company now ! Why you ask ? I will tell you why !

1) I chatted live with Xbox Live account support team today about my Xbox Live Family Gold Plan that is no more now. I asked them why did you charge me $99 then ? They told me this would be the last time and we are giving you three month’s free. I was like cool ! Here is where the very bad part starts, when it ends all your accounts on Xbox Live Family Gold turn into single Gold accounts. If you have four accounts on your Xbox Live Family Gold account, I was told each account will be bill $59.99 !!! I was like WTF !!! That equals $239.96 !!!!! They should drop dead thinking they can charge that !!! I canceled auto renew .

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us
PlayStation Plus is $49.99 a year, every one in your house hold can piggy back that account . They all can have a PSN gamer name. What makes PlayStation Plus a greater deal is if you had pre-order bonus’s and DLC every one under the main account gets everything you own too !  HALLELUJAH !!!

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us
2) RYSE: Son of Rome you pay $59.99 for the game . Microsoft has the balls to have micro-transactions for the CO-OP part of the game ! That would be OK if it was a Free to Play game, but you have to buy the game ! Then they want to give you the shaft for being loyal to them ! I say F$%K YOU !

3) XBOX ONE UI/OS runs so bad it is laughable . Micheal Jackson should come back from his grave to JUST BEAT IT ! Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

I could go on, but I know you all get my point ! Save your money and wait before you move to next gen with Micro-shaft. See if they will start giving back and not taking so much to own a XBOX ONE.

Tokyo, October 25, 2013 – Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) announced that it will release PlayStation®App, a new application for mobile devices, on November 13, 2013 in North America, and on November 22, 2013 in Europe. PlayStation®App will be available free of charge.

The images then appear as a 3D object within the game.
  • Spectate other PS4 users’ gameplay
When users’ friends upload or begin live streaming their gameplay on PS4 systems, the friends’ activities are displayed on “What’s New” of the PlayStation®App screen. When users tap on this notification, they can boot pre-installed applications, such as browsers, to spectate the uploaded gameplay. Users can also post comments on gameplay screenshots, footage and live streams.
  • Purchase game content on PlayStation®Store
Users can purchase game content*2 while away from home and download it directly onto their PS4, PS3, and PS Vita*3 systems.

Company’s Action-RPG to Bring Dragons and Epic Combat to the PlayStation®3 System in 2014

LOS ANGELES (Oct. 9, 2013) – Square Enix, Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in the Americas, today announced that its action (RPG) Drakengard®3 will be coming to the Americas exclusively for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

A prequel to the original Drakengard, Drakengard 3 transports players to a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters known as “Intoners” have brought peace to the earth with their power to manipulate magic through song. Harmony is disrupted, however, when the eldest sister, Zero, attempts to murder her younger sisters with the help of her dragon companion, Mikhail. As the story progresses, players find themselves in a battle to unravel the mystery of Zero and learn her true intentions.

Featuring the series’ signature brand of action, Drakengard 3 pits players against hordes of fiends and foes in remorseless hack-and-slash ground combat, and then sends them soaring for pitched aerial battles on the back of Mikhail.

Drakengard 3 will be available for $49.99 next year on the PlayStation®3 system and for digital download on the PlayStation®Network and the Square Enix Online Store. Starting today, players can pre-order the game at the Square Enix Online Store.

Here’s some more information to help get everyone ready for the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online. You can also look forward to plenty of GTA Online game tips and other community support features to roll out at the Rockstar Games Social Club website later today as well  – expect tutorial tips to be updated regularly as new content is added to GTA Online.

Access to GTA Online

  • Access to Grand Theft Auto Online is free with your copy of Grand Theft Auto V. On October 1st there will be a small downloadable Title Update released on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. Upon installation of that Title Update, direct access to begin GTA Online will be unlocked in your GTAV game menu. You will be able to jump right into GTA Online via the 4th (bottom) slot in your GTAV character wheel. We’ve received many questions asking for a specific confirmation of what exact time GTA Online will be available but of course this is contingent on both Title Updates becoming available on each console’s network. As a general timeframe, we do expect the Title Update to become available on PSN and Xbox LIVE starting around 12PM (British time) today, and your best bet is to stay tuned throughout the day here at the Rockstar Newswire and by following us on Twitter and Facebook where we will be keeping everyone updated.

When does GTA Online Take Place?

  • Some people who’ve been playing through Grand Theft Auto V’s Story Mode have been inquiring how the narrative of GTA Online correlates or crosses over. Grand Theft Auto Online is set a few months prior to the events of Grand Theft Auto V’s single player story.

Home and Garage Security

  • There’s plenty of havoc and treachery you can cause out in the open world of course, but in order to prevent some really annoying “griefing”, we’ve designed house party invitations specifically to be a friendly social affair where players can visit each other’s pads without fear of having them ruined or losing their hard-earned vehicles in the process. If someone invites you into their property, then it is considered a friendly visit and you will not be able to shoot up their place or steal their cars from their garage. By the way, in any given lobby, if you and another player own the same piece of property, you will each be able to enter your own personal instance of that property at any given time. You will also be able to enter each other’s instance of that property if you exchange and accept an invite. This way, multiple instances of ownership of the same property within a lobby can co-exist.

GTA$ and Fair Play

  • To allay some concerns we’ve heard on this subject, we can assure you that the game is designed such that the option of purchasable GTA$ should not disrupt the playing field – and there are a few mechanics in place to help ensure that. All players still have to rank up with Reputation Points (RP) in order to get access to purchase high-end items.  No one can begin GTA Online and simply spend a lot of money out of the gate to get a leg up. You will have to earn your stripes and play to unlock access to the aspirational clothes, guns and other items. Please also remember that in GTA Online, hustling to afford the finer things by earning GTA$ doing robberies, stick-ups, winning races and other profitable activities is a fun gameplay experience rather than ever being a ‘grind’. As we mentioned on Wednesday, we will constantly tweak all areas of the game to make it play fairer and iron out any balancing problems (while fixing all the other problems we encounter!), but we really need your help in figuring out what those issues are. So please work with us on that!

An Ever-Growing Collection of Jobs

  • Grand Theft Auto Online is a long-term GTA experience that you can expect to be built-upon, to grow and to evolve in many ways in the coming weeks, months and beyond. As part of that, there will be a massive amount of Jobs available to play over time as we will be regularly adding new ones for you to enjoy. Additionally, you will soon be helping to add content to the game world yourselves, by creating custom Race and Deathmatch Jobs through the Content Creator tool which we plan to release this fall. Grand Theft Auto Online is a collaborative project between Rockstar and all GTA players worldwide, so expect that we’ll effectively be working on it together from day one. As a very small example, the Crew Hierarchies feature that was introduced a few weeks back on Social Club was a direct result of popular fan feedback from last year – and we’ll be looking at the GTA Online community’s feedback, input and ideas constantly to help inform how the game itself will grow and evolve. As mentioned last week, we’ll be looking closely at your feedback emails sent to GTAOnline@rockstargames.com and in the GTA Online Suggestion Box board at the forthcoming Social Club Forums. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you as active participants in the world of GTA Online starting tomorrow.

The Character Creation System

  • The hereditary-based character creation system of Grand Theft Auto Online allows for a multitude of options to create your avatar that will then inhabit the online world of Los Santos & Blaine County.  Choose your gender then decide on your mother and father.  From there, you can choose to give one parent genetic dominance or leave them more evenly matched. The choice is yours. Next, you adjust a set of lifestyle variables which help determine your character’s appearance and starting stats. Decide how much sleep he/she gets, how much partying they indulge in, how much honest work versus illegal activity, and more. Essentially, you can adjust the genetics to wind up with a fresh faced lad or lass or a grizzled, haggard degenerate or anywhere in between! You’ll also be able to preview your end result in real time all throughout to ensure you’re satisfied before putting your character on a direct flight to LS. Of course, once you’re out and about in the open world, you can further customize your character with haircuts, clothing and accessories to suit your tastes.

Exclusive Social Club Features

  • In Grand Theft Auto Online, Social Club members get access to weaponry and vehicular unlocks, a whole new suite of Crew features to represent and coordinate with your squad, and special tools to get the most out of Rockstar Jobs and user-created Jobs when the Content Creator tool launches this fall. Check out the updated www.rockstargames.com/V/socialclub for an overview of GTA Online Social Club features including new Crew customization possibilities like Crew colors and Emblem vehicle decals, Crew messaging options, and Open or Closed Crew Sessions. Plus unlocks like the Sawed-Off Shotgun, the Annis Elegy RH8 and the John Marston Parent option to do the Marston family proud in the modern day West. Also stay tuned for info later in October about the very first GTA Online Social Club Events which will have special Event Playlists curated by Rockstar, reserved in-game license plate awards for top players, and more. So, if you haven’t joined, we recommend doing so!

Expect that we’ll be keeping you up to date at the Newswire later today as the Title Updates become available on PSN and Xbox LIVE. We’re very much looking forward to seeing you and your Crews hit the wide open world of Los Santos and Blaine County in GTA Online later today.

Deep Silver unveils the ‘Tower Pack’ Add-On for Metro: Last Light

Deep Silver today announced that the ‘Tower Pack’ – the second piece of add-on content for 4A Games’ critically acclaimed Metro: Last Light – will be available worldwide on Steam and the Xbox Live® online entertainment network from Microsoft on September 3rd, and will hit the PlayStation Network on September 3rd in North America and September 4th in Europe and the rest of the world.

The Tower Pack represents a fearsome challenge for every Metro fan. Players have to fight their way up through a heavily guarded tower, a virtual combat simulator. Each level is increasingly difficult – packed with hordes of enemies, mutants and other deadly threats. The best players in this combat simulator will need to master Metro’s unique, hand-made weaponry and deep combat mechanics in order to reach the top of the global leaderboards.

The Tower Pack will cost just $4.99 / £3.99 / €4.99, and is the second of four add-on content packs to be included in the Metro: Last Light Season Pass, which at $14.99 / £11.99 / €14.99 offers a discount over buying the packs separately, and also includes an additional exclusive weapon, the Abzats.

More details on the contents of the upcoming add-on packs for Metro: Last Light:

·        The ‘Developer Pack’ boasts a fully stocked Shooting Gallery, the AI Arena and Metro Museum…  And a bonus solo mission – The Spiders’ Nest – offers some new tools for dealing with an infestation of the skittering Spider mutants

·        Lastly the ‘Chronicles Pack’ will feature three original single player missions that cast the player as four of the game’s standout characters – Pavel, Khan & Ulman, and Anna – and explore their side-stories away from Artyom’s adventure

For more information on the Tower Pack, head over to EnterTheMetro.com for the second in 4A Games’ series of Developer add-on content blog posts.

PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection: Year One

With the upcoming launch of PlayStation 4, everyone here at PlayStation is hard at work preparing to deliver the best place to play — the absolute best gaming experiences imaginable.

As you heard at E3, PlayStation Plus will play a huge role in delivering amazing next gen online gaming experiences, while offering incredible value to members. With a single PlayStation Plus membership, you’ll get all of the benefits across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, making sure you always have something fun to play and experience online with friends.

This week PS Plus has reached a milestone: the one year anniversary of the Instant Game Collection!

PlayStation Plus has been around for three years now, and make no mistake, we’ve always felt that it was a great value for gamers. But at E3 2012, when the Instant Game Collection made its debut, we knew that PS Plus was delivering something innovative, exciting and unique. It was evident in the passionate responses you had in communities around the web that you agreed. From our very own PlayStation.Blog and PlayStation Community, to gaming message boards like NeoGaf.com, to your comments on gaming sites like IGN.com, Destructoid.com, Kotaku.com, we knew that you thought PS Plus presented a gaming service like nothing else out there.

Looking back, it’s easy to see the tremendous value PS Plus offers. In the first year of the Instant Game Collection alone, if you own both a PlayStation 3 and a PlayStation Vita, 64 games were included, including blockbusters such as Sleeping Dogs and Spec Ops: The Line.

We’re not stopping there. We’ve already started Year Two off with a bang with the announcement that #DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition will be available in the Instant Game Collection at launch and one digital title will rotate in each month. We also debuted a powerful June lineup for PS3, including the introduction of three new marquee titles: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (single-player), Little Big Planet Karting and XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Up next: the July month outlook next week, which is not to be missed!

PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection: Year One

Whether you’ve been a member since Day 1 or you’re a newcomer, we thank you for supporting PS Plus and the Instant Game Collection. If you have yet to take the plunge, now is a great time to take advantage of the incredible IGC games offered on PS3 and PS Vita – while ensuring you’re locked and ready for the PS4 this holiday season.
