Taking Aim at Cheaters in Max Payne 3 | Rockstar Games
We’re aware that a small minority of players are spoiling the Max Payne 3 multiplayer experience for honest players with cheats and hacks, and while certain issues will be dealt with in forthcoming title updates, today we’d like to make it clear that anyone using these nefarious methods will be dealt with.
Anyone found to have used hacked saves, modded games, or other exploits to gain an unfair advantage in Max Payne 3 Multiplayer, or to circumvent the leaderboards will be quarantined from all other players into a “Cheaters Pool”, where they’ll only be able to compete in multiplayer matches with other confirmed miscreants. In the event we decide to absolve any of these cheaters for their past transgressions they may re-enter play with the general public, however a second offense will result in their indefinite banishment. In either case, we will be removing invalid leaderboard entries to ensure that the players at the top of the charts have earned their spots fairly.
If you see anyone in Max Payne 3 multiplayer using invincibility hacks, infinite adrenaline, score cheating or doing anything else suspicious, just send us an email at maxpayne3.banhammer@rockstargames.com and include the following:
- Platform (PC, PS3 or Xbox 360)
- Cheater’s Gamertag / ID
- Description of the violation
- If possible, please include concrete evidence, such as a video or a screenshot
Please do not use the previous email address we had in place for Red Dead Redemption, as that is only for past games, and do not use this or any other comment thread to post names of suspected cheaters. Note that we do not ban players for using legitimate tactics to which some players may object, such as camping. If you are experiencing in-game harassment over voice chat, please block the player and report the Gamertag or PSN ID directly to Microsoft or Sony.

The original soundtrack for Max Payne 3 is composed by HEALTH, the L.A. noise band whose non-symmetrical sounds have garnered critical acclaim from the music press and fans around the world. Mixing their signature percussive undertones and synth effects, HEALTH has created a dark and driving soundscape that perfectly reflect Max’s blurred and frayed mental state. HEALTH discard conventional balanced compositions and inject their signature melancholy noise pop into a score that helps propel Max as he transitions between his dark present and tragic past, giving each their own distinctive feel, while staying true to the heavy atmosphere of the Max Payne series.

(NASDAQ: TTWO), is proud to announce The Max Payne 3 Pro Exhibition in association with Major League Gaming (MLG) that was held on May 5, 2012 in New York City will be broadcast online at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012 at http://www.majorleaguegaming.com and http://www.rockstargames.com. For the first time ever, Rockstar Games has teamed up with MLG’s elite professional players for an exhibition tournament hosted by MLG and featuring the competitive debut of Max Payne 3 multiplayer.

L.A. Noire: Complete Edition confirmed for consoles too
Publisher Rockstar announced last month that the PC version of L.A. Noire would be a ‘Complete Edition,’ including every downloadable content pack, and now it’s confirmed a similar package for consoles. While PC gamers have had to wait a few months for Noire, they will at least get the Complete Edition first.
On top of the base game, the Complete Edition packs all the DLC weapons and outfits, the ‘Nicholson Electroplating’ Arson case, ‘A Slip of the Tongue’ Traffic case, ‘Reefer Madness’ Vice case, ‘The Naked City’ Vice case, ‘The Badge Pursuit Challenge’ side-quest, and PlayStation 3-exclusive ‘The Consul’s Car’ Traffic case.
L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 15, priced at $49.99. Given that the bonus content (that which you can buy, at least) only costs $12, and Noire’s list price is $40 nowadays, it’s not a massive saving, but it certainly is the definitive version.
The PC Complete Edition is slated to launch slightly earlier, on November 8, also at $49.99.
L.A. Noire creator and developer Team Bondi recently shut down, due in part to owing over $1 million in unpaid wages.
